Coffee lovers are many, but not everyone knows how many ways there are to brew coffee. Do you want to know what are the most popular of them? In our article you will learn about them and you will surely find the perfect one for you.

Each coffee brewing method is different and unique in its own way. It affects not only the intensity of the coffee flavour, but also its texture or the caffeine content of the drink.

Coffee maker

This device was created as an alternative to the coffee machine to simplify the coffee preparation process as much as possible. The coffee maker is relatively inexpensive and easy to brew. Making coffee with it will not be a problem for anyone. On the plus side, there is a large selection of coffee that can be brewed in coffee makers. Mostly espresso blends are used, but it’s also worth trying coffees that are designed for alternative methods, namely those with light roasted beans. However, it is not recommended to use ready ground coffee – the one you can buy in the store, because its beans are too finely ground. The coffee maker is more and more often seen in an electric version. Coffee from a coffee maker tastes great with milk, but in its traditional version, milk must be foamed manually or regular milk must be added.

Aeropress

This is another easy to use machine. The aeropress resembles a large syringe and is the newest coffee brewing device. The process of making coffee with this method takes only a few minutes. It is also good for people who travel a lot because it takes up little space and is easy to transport. To prepare coffee in an aeropress, it is advisable to use those with light roasted beans. The grind thickness should be quite fine.

French press

Otherwise known as the “press pot” or “coffee press”, it is constructed in a simple manner. It is usually a metal or glass cylinder with a piston inside and a strainer at the end. This device is also easy to use. It is also one of the fastest ways to brew coffee at home. What is important is that the french press allows you to separate the grounds from the brew by means of a piston with a strainer. However, when buying this device it is worth paying attention to the quality of its manufacture. Metal or plastic of inferior quality may cause the coffee to have an unpleasant aftertaste. When brewing a drink in this device, you can reach for coffee roasted for espresso, but also for pour-over methods.

Chemex

This hourglass-shaped device is made of heat-resistant glass that prevents it from absorbing unwanted odors. Coffee prepared in a chemex is delicate and clear. The beans here should be large, and the whole preparation of the brew takes less than 5 minutes. The amount of coffee and water depends primarily on the type of bean and how intense a drink we want to obtain

Both when using a chemex and other devices, it is worth having a proper coffee kettle. This will allow you to streamline the preparation of your favorite beverage.

Coffee maker

This is probably the most popular way to prepare coffee within the home’s four walls. There are various types of coffee makers available on the market and the one you decide on depends mainly on what kind of coffee you like the most. There are different types of espresso machines available on the market and the one you choose will depend on the type of coffee you like the most. You can also decide to buy an automatic or pour-over machine.
