Recipe for a delicious tzatziki sauce

To make a truly aromatic and delicious tzatziki sauce, you will need the following ingredients:

  • 200 g Greek yogurt,
  • optionally 1 tbsp mayonnaise,
  • 150 g fresh cucumbers,
  • 1 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil,
  • 2 cloves of garlic,
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh mint,
  • 1 teaspoon chopped dill,
  • a pinch of salt, pepper (to taste).

The first step is to wash and peel the cucumber, then grate it on a large mesh grater. Then you need to add salt and let it stand for a few minutes. After that, it is necessary to squeeze the grated cucumber from the juice. It is best to do this with your hands

The next step is to put the squeezed cucumbers into a bowl and add yogurt, pressed garlic, olive oil and herbs. The most aromatic will be mint and dill. The last step is to thoroughly mix all the ingredients and season to taste. Put the sauce in the fridge for at least 30 minutes. Ready, you can serve!
